German Champions Appoint Former Coach As Ancelotti’s replacement

first_imgGerman champions Bayern Munich have named former coach Jupp Heynckes as their new manager on a short-term deal until the end of the season.The 72-year old replaces Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked last month after he reportedly lost the dressing room.Heynckes has coached Bayern three times before with his most recent stint coming in 2013 when he led the team to a Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup treble.On his appointment, Heynckes said:“I would not have returned to any other club in the world.”“Bayern Munich is very close to my heart. My coaching staff and I will now do everything to bring back successful football for the fans.
