Indian teams bag 3 medals in Archery World Cup

The Indian women’s team received a silver medalafter being defeated by the Chinese Taipei in the final bout. The men’s teamwas able to win a bronze medal. The mixed pair was also adjudged with the thirdposition and was able to secure a bronze medal.The women’s team comprised Deepika Kumari, Bombayla DeviLaishram and Laxmirani Majhi. Despite a lower rank of the final contender, theIndian women lost the game due to a few inconsistencies in the third set.The Indian men’s recurve team consisted of Jayanta Talukdar,Mangal Singh and Atanu Das. They were able to beat the ninth seed British teamby 6-0 to secure the bronze medal.The mixed pair team comprising Deepika Kumari and Atanu Daswere able to send the much hyped Koreans back to pavilion in a nail bitingfinisher which concluded at 5-4 in favour of the Indians.last_img read more
